Time To Restore Normalcy..

The Red Shall Loom Large 2 defeats, 9th position in the league, foot off the paddle- boys its time for recovery. One has the feeling that things will go right when we take the field against Wigan at our own turf. That the natural order of things will be restored. Simply put, we cannot afford slip...

William Gallas

William Gallas

Seldom are players swapped stirring so much controversy as happened when the top-2 from London exchanged the pro-libedo might of Ashley Cole for the grumpy, sulken skills of William Gallas. Both proven performers in search of fresher challanges.

Conor Valentine is back with views on his favourite defender. And mind you, he’s Irish! (Follow him on Twitter @Gunnerman911)

They Are Same-Same But Different!

They Are Same-Same But Different!

I have had this thought lingering in my mind for quiet some time now. Barcelona play the same style of football that our beloved Arsenal plays. They attack, attack and attack, just like we do. But they are sitting on a pile of trophies and we, on the other hand, are sitting on our arse, for half a decade now. What is the reason behind this unfortunate disparity. We @11G dwell into the same..

Is Walcott Good Enough For No. 14?

Is Walcott Good Enough For No. 14?

You shouldn’t be surprised if faced with a question similar to the one above i.e. Where is our No. 14!? Answers may range from, ‘We had Thierry Henry playing there, aye (!?)‘ to ‘It was this real fast guy‘ & so on. You shouldn’t also be surprised if few fail to remember this guy completely. But then pardoning them would be much easier than forgetting the promise one English teenager had shown signs of, months before WC ‘06. It’s that time of the year again, & we @11G rewind time to get up-close with Theo Walcott. Our No. 14 btw..

'That' Goal Against Brazil In WC '06

'That' Goal Against Brazil In WC '06

Today I felt like contributing to the hundreds of thousands of articles doing the rounds on the so-called ‘Greatest Controversy‘ since Maradona’s epic and infamous ‘Hand of God‘. I feel sorrowed as a Gooner and a worshipper of King Henry not because of the error in judgment made by the Supremo, but on the subsequent treatment dished out to him. Simply put, Thierry Henry is being made a scapegoat in the larger scheme of things and we at 11Gunners are dismayed by the turn of events, specially the disturbing piece of news which calls for a ban on the master from South Arfica’2010.

King Henry

King Henry

There are Wingers, there are Forwards, and then there was a Thierry Henry. In August 99’, when Henry arrived at Highbury from Turin having had a torrid time in Juventus, not many were aware of the plethora of talents he possessed. One man did, and that made all the difference. Wenger, who had previously coached Henry at Monaco, was very sure of his compatriot and believed he had in him to make it big in the Premier League. He couldn’t be more right..

"Come'th The Hour, Come'th The Van"

"Come'th The Hour, Come'th The Van"

The name in itself makes one reminiscent the days of yore, or rather recent past, when Thierry ‘King’ Henry and Dennis ‘Non-Flying’ Bergkamp, lit up the stage time after the other. ‘Legend’s‘ is an apt term for gallic pair, who in tandem, led Arsenal’s attack to many a glory. They were the ‘Invincibles‘ no less. One certain Robin Van Persie has been bracketed in the same league as the likes of Titi and Dennis by none other than Arsene ‘Lord’ Wenger himself. Surely an achievement of sorts given the fact that no one knows those two better than the Professor.
