Go Theo..

Go Theo..

Theo Walcott has had a lot to face this year. He turned 21 in March and had a glitzy party to celebrate with his gorgeous girlfriend Melanie Slade. That’s the upside of his year, and possibly the best he’s had all year.

Steve takes out time for 11G & tries to demystify the enigma called Theo Walcott. His recent form, preperations for the season ahead, expectations et al. Check his aptly titled blog ‘Highbury Heart‘ & follow him on Twitter @reznuk Read on..

It's time for Africa!Fifa World Cup is around the corner Gooners, it’s time we got into the groove. 11G brings before you 3 videos which’ll get your adrenaline rushing for sure!

First up we have this wonderful video song by K’naan. It is also the unofficial theme for the tourney (being Coca-Cola’s official song for the tournament though). It’s a good representation of how the World Cup really unites the world for a change; & is titled ‘Waving Flag’, creating ripples all over the globe.

Next up is the Official Song of the World Cup 2010, South Africa, co-written and performed by none other than the Colombian sensation, Shakira! She’s backed up by the South African band ‘Freshlyground’. The track is titled ‘Waka Waka – This time for Africa’.

Is Walcott Good Enough For No. 14?

Is Walcott Good Enough For No. 14?

You shouldn’t be surprised if faced with a question similar to the one above i.e. Where is our No. 14!? Answers may range from, ‘We had Thierry Henry playing there, aye (!?)‘ to ‘It was this real fast guy‘ & so on. You shouldn’t also be surprised if few fail to remember this guy completely. But then pardoning them would be much easier than forgetting the promise one English teenager had shown signs of, months before WC ‘06. It’s that time of the year again, & we @11G rewind time to get up-close with Theo Walcott. Our No. 14 btw..

Passing The Baton..

Passing The Baton..

Recruited by Arsenal aged 16. A call-up to England’s World Cup squad aged 17, with no first team experience whatsoever! Comparisons with TH14 to kick start his stint@N5, a chance to train alongside his idol day-in and day-out,  a maverick run against Liverpool in UCL, a first team hat-trick for England, another World Cup looming. If dreams come true, you need not go any further than Theo Walcott’s fairytale story to confirm the same. An 11Gunners perspective of Theo’s incredible rise to the top..
