Time To 'GYRATE' The Scarves
Hey folks, it is time for a round up of everything and anything happening around Arsenal FC. I don’t need to tell you about the fairytale start that we have had this season. It is a known “fact” by now. But I have a gut feeling that the things are not as rosy as it looks like. I would love to be proved wrong..
The old problem with our team has raised its head again. No it’s not a bogey team that we are talking about. It is a virus among us. INJURY. I strongly believe that
If someone can defeat Arsenal, it’s Arsenal.
We missed Fabregas, Eduardo, Rosicky and Adebayor for a major part of last season. We missed Eduardo again in the season before last season. And it is Fabregas this time around. He has been side lined for 3 weeks, joining Nasri and Walcott on the injury table. He will be missed badly in the forthcoming matches against “Red Dolls” and Celtics in the Champion League. Wenger needs to dig into his pocket and get some defensive reinforcement for us. You might be wondering that why should we buy defensive players when it is the offensive players who are injured. (No, I have not gone crazy). I believe that our side is good enough to score against any team in the world, even when some stalwarts of the game do not take part. But we can’t score as many as we score when the same stalwarts feature on the team sheet. So to win 1-nil, we need to have a water-tight defensive line up.

Blaise Matuidi
It has been reported in some newspapers that Arsenal is after Blaise Matuidi, and if it does happen before the end of Transfer Window, it will give us an insurance to our title challenge which we need desperately. The size of our squad does not look adequate at the moment. And it is not only us who believe that. We have an ally in Arshavin, who said that
“We still have to buy. That’s my opinion. We shouldn’t set Everton as a benchmark, we should be looking at the top teams of Chelsea, Manchester United, Real Madrid, Barcelona. We should buy first-class players, regardless of their age. We should buy the ones who should improve our game. The top teams have much bigger squads than ours and that is why we have to buy.”
Wenger is gunning for ‘Arsenalisation’ of Emirates. He wants to give Emirates a ‘SOUL’ just like Highbury. Nothing more than a trophy can give it a ‘SOUL’ and it was the same trophies which gave Highbury its ‘SOUL’. Let us know your views. It is our Season. Go Gunners..
