11Moments- A New Beginning: The Emirates(Part11)

Tweet The Emirates: A New Beginning Change is indeed the only thing permanent in this world. Arsenal’s relocation to a new abode was a necessity, so as to redeem its status as Europe’s one of the biggest forces. Highbury had given us innumerable fond memories but its small size was no longer sufficient...

The Little MozartSome one and a half seasons back, in January 08′, Tomas Rosicky, a Czech Republic recruit in the Arsenal scheme of things, got injured in a FA Cup game against Newcastle United. He went Down that evening and the Magpies stayed Up that season. How things change!!

Well, Newcastle is no more in the top flight of English football, but Rosicky sure is back in the thick of things. His getting back to full fitness was a news us Gunners heard time and again in the course of the last two seasons. But every time he was announced to return, further setbacks pushed the deadlines afar. It seemed more than the physical nature of the knock he concurred; it was the meta-physical side which needed some convincing. Any top professional would be gutted to watch his team play without him being the help he was ought to be. And with Tomas, the end of the tunnel never came for most part. He waited and waited for his chance to come. 1’st August, 2009, the wait was over, and out came the man we all had waited for so long.

In the 07-08’ season, him and Hleb combined, got a Arsenal side, without ‘the’ Thierry Henry in ranks, off to a flying start in the Premier League campaign. Arsenal was topping the charts all season and then came two setbacks they could never recover from. First was Tomas who got his hamstring undone and then Eduardo, in the most horrifying of ways, got his ankle ripped off against Birmingham City. Two important players getting injured at a crucial phase in the league meant Arsenal so lacked their cutting edge in the final third. But now both are back and it won’t be unfair to say that their re-induction at Emirates is as good as two fresh, new signings. Plus they have already proved their credentials as footballers so we know exactly how capable these two gentlemen are.

Especially Rosicky, with his witchy runs down the flanks, his explosive shots on goal and his abilities as a playmaker, will be a huge bolster for the attacking prowess Arsenal base their game on. He came to the Emirates with a reputation to keep. That he sure did with magician-like displays in whatever time he got in the Arsenal reds. They didn’t call him “the Little Mozart” for nothing. Some of the goals he scored are still worth remembering and so is the telepathic understanding he acquired with fellow Gunners almost immediately. A fit-again Tomas Rosicky, a raring Tomas Rosicky and above all a nothing-to-prove Tomas Rosicky, looks good enough to revitalize Arsenal’s fortunes in the upcoming season. He, with the likes of Walcott, Arshavin, Nasri, Fabregas, VanPersie, amongst others, is something I can’t wait to have a feast on. Hope it’s the same with you fellow Gooners.

The time is right for our Czech-Mate to deliver one final move..

dont u think it will still take rosicky n eduardo probably 2 more months to get to tht level of physical fitness which is required frm them. apart frm the fact tht a mental block will be thr.

Well Rosicky was held back at the end of last season for exactly that, but with Eduardo, yeah, you are right. So surely a cover will help.
Also Eduardo did make a comeback last season and scored a couple of beauties while he was at it, so he’s done with the mental warps.
C’mon we need these two last the course of 09-10′ season, in complete ie!

Yeah, this is his season. It’s been coming..
