Beware of this Wounded Soldier..

Beware of this Wounded Soldier..

Injury updates are like flight announcements. You can never be sure about them. Things can go either way and luckily for us things are not as bad as it was reported to be. Gibbs is not gonna be out for long. And RvP might actually surprise us, thanks to the horse whose placenta is being used. And Dudu is not going to Liverpool. So things are getting better. It seems like God has decided to wear Red & Whites for a change. And the icing on the cake is Bent’s comparison of this Arsenal team with the invincibles. 11Gunners bring you the latest..

Arsenal have confirmed Kieran Gibbs’ foot injury is not as bad as first feared – and he could now be fit to face Chelsea later this month.

“After being assessed by the Arsenal medical staff, the club can confirm that Kieran Gibbs has sustained severe bruising to the bones and soft tissue of his right foot. Thankfully the foot is not fractured and his enforced absence will be short term.”

This means that we don’t need to play our 3rd choice left back in this important phase of the season. Gibbs will get to play on a regular basis in Clichy’s absence and he might claim a place in World Cup squad of England doing the same. Good luck to Gibbs. This is certainly bad news for Chelsea and Gibbs’ presence will certainly make things tougher for them. This tie is very important for both sides as this tie might give an indication that who would be holding the trophy at the end of the season.

Moving on to the Sunderland game, things look great at the moment. There is no bigger satisfaction than to hear words of praise from the opponent’s camp. Darren Bent has said that this team looks as good as the Invincibles. He said that:

“They are on top top form. The keep scoring four a game, which is unheard of.“That is like the Arsenal of a few years back and the likes of Thierry Henry, Robert Pires, Freddy Ljungberg and Dennis Bergkamp. They were giving people beatings of four and five regularly.

“It is going to be a tough game against Arsenal. They were written off for the title at the start of the season but they have shown they mean business.”

We certainly mean business. May god keep wearing the Red & Whites. Amen.
