Nasri Scores A Wonder Goal
“When the going gets tough, the tough gets going..”, and so we heard a long time back. The stakes couldn’t be higher when the Gunners squared up against a resilient Porto side in the decider for a place in the quarters of the Champion’s League, last evening. Trailing by a single goal, an away goal at that, from the first leg, and with home support to cheer them on, Arsenal were doing rather OK going into the match. But when our skipper Fabregas picked up an injury against Burnley at the weekend, there were suspicions on whether we could create enough for the likes of Bendtner to finish. Not forgetting the Dane’s conversion rate in front of the goal-mouth, the situation became all the more precarious. But the display which the Gunners belted out in front of another packed Emirates crowd is what reiterates our faith in Wenger’s ‘Young Guns’ time & again.
The final score read: Arsenal 5 – Porto 0, & we @11G celebrate the same right now..

Proverbial Chain Around Arsenal
Just before the break Andy Gray said that Arsenal has been better than Chelsea in just about everything except the only thing that matters – goals column. Arsenal played great football between the two goals, after the second goal and even in the second half. We know that the striking has been a problem for us ever since that unfortunate injury to RvP. But there is more to it than lack of quality striker for us. There is a problem with the mindset of our players and we @ 11G urge Mr.Wenger to hire a specialist to deal with this issue..

Roon (read: Run) Over!
Lets forget whatever happened @the Emirates two days back and look forward to the road ahead. Is this team a ‘title contender‘ or a mere ‘pretender‘. The Gunners has been losing consistently to top sides and inspite of that, we are supposedly having a ‘good’ season. Let’s face it, the pundits doubted out top-4 finish not long back. 11G analyzes the season from my perspective..

A Tight Affair
On a night when Wenger could have entered the history books by registering his 300′th league win as a manager, Arsenal flattered to decieve & left the gaffer wondering what could have been. With proceedings tighter than ever at the summit, nothing less than a victory was what the doctor ordered. 11G briefs an exciting yet not-so-thrilling stalemate..

Down but not out!!
Our title aspirations receieved a severe dent when we were beaten by Sunderland last evening. A planned and organised Sunderland squad got the better of us riding on the back of a solitary goal from their in form striker Darren Bent. With Chelsea showing no signs of relinquishing their hold on the top spot and United breathing down our neck, will winning the League become that much more difficult in the aftermath of yesterday’s events, 11Gunners takes a look..

Early Christmas For Arsenal
This match was supposed to test the sincerity of our title challenge. It was a test for sure, but not for Arsenal. And the scoreline suggests that Wolverhampton was found wanting in this test. They still haven’t come to terms with the premiership and if they don’t manage to do so soon enough, they will have to say ‘bye-bye’ to it. Arsenal scored goals for fun and this is not the first time that they have done so, this season. Arsenal’s attack is second to none but clean sheets have been hard to come by this season.
An 11Gunners‘ postmortem of the wolf hunt..

"Fab"ulous
Emirates was taken for a joyride last night as Arsenal demolished AZ Alkmaar 4-1 to leave their progress to next stage as nothing but a formality. It was an Arshavin’s show and it was a role reversal of sorts. This time Fab was the scorer and Arsha was the provider for a change. Arsenal finally managed to come out of Ronald Koeman’s hoodoo and defeated a side managed by him for the 1st time.
